Iram S. Alam, MD is a general surgery resident at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Manhattan General Surgery Program, with a strong interest in colorectal surgery. Originally from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, she completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Minnesota before moving to California to earn her medical degree at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Throughout her training, Dr. Alam has developed a passion for colorectal care, with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques, colorectal oncology, and patient-centered outcomes. Looking ahead, Dr. Alam plans to pursue a fellowship in colorectal surgery, with the goal of becoming a leader in the field and making meaningful contributions to patient care, surgical techniques, and education.
